NETFLIX KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR VIEWING HABITS

Netflix spokesman Joris Evers said "Netflix knows everything about your viewing habits".

Mmmmm....A bit scary?

So this is a fascinating look behind the scenes at Netflix - one of the most successful streaming TV and film services in the US & UK.

"We’ve probably got sitting around the room an X-Box, a Play Station, Nintendo, Apple devices, Android devices and a couple of different TVs from our partner manufacturers," Edberg said. Read the full article at...

A LITTLE GLAMOUR FOR A CHANGE!

Thought it might be nice to introduce my niece (in law) to you - The Miss Polly Rae - a talented singer and extraordinarily beautiful burlesque dancer.

Just having returned from a five week tour of Australia, Polly has had her own show in the West End as well performing in many other exotic countries around the world. The show is different from most burlesque shows that it is done a little tongue in cheek and while it is both erotic and beautiful - it is also inoffensive and funny - which has the effect of attracting a lot of women and girls to the show.

Her d├ębut West End Show was produced by Kylie's creative director William Baker and Kylie came to meet her in her dressing room after the show - she said she loved it!

I'm still waiting for her to ask me to make a video for her...!

You can see lots of beautiful images of here at

THERE GOES A CHUNK OF THE PLANET...

Check out this most extraordinary event caught on video and taken from James Balog's film 'Chasing Ice'. An area of ice the size of, and three times higher than the buildings on the lower tip of Manhattan just collapsed and broke off. It somehow makes me very, very small and rather insignificant!

http://www.npr.org/blogs/krulwich/2014/01/31/268356264/a-hunk-of-planet-dissolves-before-our-eyes?ft=1&f=1007

The two guys at the beginning are part of Balog's Extreme Ice Survey team, which maintains scores of time-lapse cameras overlooking glaciers in Greenland, Iceland, Alaska, Canada, the Rockies and the Himalayas. During daylight hours, they watch and record. Then they share what they see with scientists and National Geographic, and turn the footage into movies and TV shows.

Only video can do this!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A VIDEO...

A very strange statement coming from me you may think! But you see I wouldn't get any satisfaction from producing a video which I believed to be a waste of money.

It's very important that before you spend any money on a video, you sit down and ask some important questions. Here's just three.

What is the purpose of the video?
What do I want it to achieve?
Who is my target audience?

When you come to vision4video to have your video produced we will go through these another important questions in detail with you and make sure that you get the right message to the right audience at the right time

THE CHANGING FACE OF VIDEO CAMERAS

Technology moves at a frightening rate sometimes and professional video equipment is no stranger to constant (and sometimes expensive) change.

Take the GoPro camera. This tiny, relatively inexpensive camera has revolutionised the way that people can capture the world around them - particularly in the world of action and extreme sports. It can be fixed to racing cars, motor bikes, parachute jumpers, skateboarders - there is no limit to where you can attach one of these little miracles. Just check out Felix Baungartner's incredible freefall jump to earth recorded in wonderful high definition.

Some of the larger and more traditional professional video camera systems have also changed quite dramatically - not only how they work, but how they look. On many commercial shoots you are very likely to see something like this rather than the traditional film camera!

We try to keep up with the latest technology (when the costs don't bankrupt us) and certainly when there is a tangible benefit to our clients. The great thing about most of the changes that have taken place over the last 10 years is that high quality video images are now attainable at a much lower cost which is great news for everyone who producers or needs to  get the benefits of modern video. www.vision4video.co.uk

BETTER DRIVERS AT VISION4VIDEO?

A few weeks ago we were asked to produce a Training video for the National Driving Offenders Retraining Scheme (NDORS) - the company who create and run training courses on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary. If you're naughty and commit a driving offence, you may be given the option to go on a driving course instead of paying a fine and having points on your licence.

One of their courses is called the National Driving4Change Course, and the purpose of this video this video was to help train the Senior Trainers (known as 'accessors') who have the job of accessing the standards of the Trainers who deliver these courses all over the UK.

This training video involved having cameras inside a vehicle for the duration of the course capturing high quality audio and video of both the driver and the 'offender' being trained. (For the purpose of the video the offender was in fact a senior trainer in disguise!)

So having previously produced videos for both Driving Schools and the training of Driving Instructors, vision4video people should now be much better drivers.......!!
